Short Bio

I come from a painting family but did not take up a brush or chalk until I retired six years ago. I started with an iPad, then pencil, oil and finally landed on pastel. Who can resist those gorgeous colors

Statement

Energy! Pounding surf, fluttering aspens, baby's breathing, anticipation, heat, joy, I try to capture the energy in the world around me with color, marks and composition. I live near the Northern California coast and have a house at Lake Tahoe. Those locations and the people I meet and locations I visit in my travels are the subjects I use to inspire me. Of course I can't resist the joy and energy of our furry friends.
